Our story
A community organisation built to serve
The Galmudug Australian Somali Diaspora Association Incorporated is a not-for-profit organisation supporting, representing and advocating for Somali Australians with roots in Galmudug State, Somalia.
Through cultural advocacy, community development and collaborative leadership, GASDA provides a trusted home and a common voice. Our work connects people to practical support while ensuring community perspectives are represented in decisions that affect them.
GASDA was incorporated in Victoria on 10 December 2015 and now works with community members across metropolitan Melbourne.
